It is not possible after medical, because they must have to issue VISA within 12 months of meds done.. of course it is a question of permanent migration from one country to another no body can adjust it too fast.... so forget it....... Smiley & cheers

I submitted my passport on Feb 8th and later received a reply that they won't be able to issue visa until July because they need to control  number of immigrants to enter in country as per the parliament guidelines. My medical date is Nov 13, 2010 so my visa will be valid only upto Nov 13, 2011. This give me only few months to rellocate. I am not sure if this is happening for everyone ?

Some applicants have received this kind of reply from London VO. There doesn't seem anything very unusual in it. London VO asks for passports almost 6 months after medicals. So the time available for the applicants to complete landing is 4/5 months only. Yes, they should ask for medicals and passports only when they are in a position to issue visas. But that would an ideal situation. In reality ideal situations are not quite common.

I hope that its not true. It does not make sense to ask for medicals only to wait for months and then asking to redo them or not giving them enough time to land.

this post is baseless

No VO will make the guys to do medical again due to delay in issue of visa (after the med stage)

in this case - he is waiting for meds - not after submitting the passports. After submitting passport there can be delay only if the security check is delayed. CHC will never say it takes months to issue Visa after submitting PP

SO COOOOOOLLLLLL everybody  Cheesy

Guys,

the news appears to be potent one. If CHC wants to control issuance of visas we have a biiiiig delay ahead. this is well supported by the current speed with which many VOs are handling the applications. London being the slowest among them. If one has to believe this all of the 2010 applicants will get their visas either by end of 2011 or early 2012. (hope it does not happen)

When were you hoping to get Medicals and Visa as a 2010 applicant?

But as several people have said, most visa offices control this limit prior to medical request stage. It is ridiculous to control it after medical request stage because the medicals have a 1 year lifespan and if the applicant has not landed by then they must retake medicals.

It is highly irresponsible of a visa office to make an applicant go to the expense of medicals if they are not sure there is a visa allowance for them.

Cappuccino and leodr,
I couldn't agree more. Exactly, it is totally un-canadian and makes no sense to make people have costly medical examinations over again...
Unluckily the visa offices in Kyiv and Moscow follow this malpractice, too.
People had their medical examinations done in summer and autumn last year, but only a couple of visas been issued since then. Most applicants are just waiting in frustration next to panic. All the requests return nothing but the go-around replies like background checking or something of that sort... I know it is really disturbing and discouraging.
