Hello All

Can someone let me know what is the process for applying PR card in case I don't have a permanent address for a place(city) where I am landing?I will be put up in a hotel first and then will look out for an acco

Heard that the officer at airport will not accept an outside city address (from the one where the resident is landing;e.g if I am landing in Calgary then I can't provide a Toronto address for sending PR card)

Also does this delay the PR card issue process if we apply from outside(i.e not at the immigration counter at the airport)?

Also I am assuming that in such cases we don't need to fill in the form IMM5444E(PR card application)during landing as we don't have anything to mention for Canadian permanent address or correspondence address(Canadian)?

cheers!

Just say that you dont have permanent address and IO will give you the PR Address Notification form where Fax number will be mentioned. Keep this form with you and fax it with information when you get your address.Thats what I did.

Thanks

The officer will accept a different address than the city you are landing. As you said, some officers dont. It really depends on the officer you get to meet at the airport ...

For an FSW u can provide any address @ the POE, as long as it's a Canadian. Not the same for a QSW though.
