no letter from employer-- entry in canada

Hi there! I submitted my papers for OWP & PR last year (aug) I heard that if you going to the PHILs with OWP, you cant come back here without letter from employer?? how true?? anyone you know with this situation??

its not true as long you have an open work permit, you can go home as long you will inform the immigration when you will coming back.

thanks angel.. why is it, thats theres a lot of rumors that some of their friends was not allowed to enter here coz they have no letter from employer but they have open permit

Note you will need a valid TRV (visitor visa) as well as the OWP to return to Canada.

Hi PMM! what do u mean visitos visa? I have working visa but expired so I need to to get re entry so I can return here.

The TRV-Temporary Resident Visa (visitor visa) is the same as what you called a re-entry...its a visa actually. You can file multiple entry if you travel outside Canada often or single entry....

we have same question bambie girl! when I called immigration they said, open work permit, re enty & valid passport are the only requirements so u can come back here but my friends told me that their friends didnt allow to come back here in canada because immigration ask letter from employers.. which I dont know how true!

hello! you guys need re entry visa ( either single or multiple ), active work permit ( open or close ) and employer's letter ( this is very important ). I just came back and as long as you have these all, nothings else is asked you are clear for re entry.

Hello brie74, Thank you to sharing ur experience. Good to know!!  How long did you stay at your home country? I just just wonder because I want to go visit my family after I get OWP too. I plann to go there for 3 months is that OK?
