No Correspondence from CIC.. What to do ?

I submitted my initial application on 8 June 2006 in London office.

On 20 January 2010 Done the Medical from Bangladesh as I was about to visit there and also it was cheaper. And sent all papers as asked including Landing Fees.

Since then, I haven't received any correspondence from CIC.
I emailed them few times and every time their answer was - They are waiting for the routine background check result.

What does that mean?

Also, our  medical will be valid only until 19/01/2011.
Is there anything might happen within this short time?

Getting fed up with this.

Hi

With such reply from visa office it means that your security checks are still going on and when it will finish they will contact you. As you said medicals are expiring next month there is a little frame that you might get passport request in early january but if not then your medicals will be expired and visa office will ask you to re-do the medicals like they have asked many other Pakistani applicants to re-do the medicals.

I hope you get it before it expires.

I doubt you will be asked to re-do the MEDS. But till u get any formaly requirement from CHC, dont' take any action
