no change on ECAS internet site since 7 months

Hello, my wife is from Philippines and she applied for a PR visa in Canada. I'm her husband. She was invited to an interview on july 2011. This invitation appear on ECAS at the end of june. But since this time, there is no change on this site. Also, my wife was absent at the interview because she has never received a letter and she didn't have internet connexion. We came together to visit the VO in Manila on nov 23,2011, and after talking with the officer, they schedule a new interview for january 11. She was present at this interview and now we are waiting the decision. But on ECAS, there is no change. They don't talk about the interview on january 11. !!! It suppose to be updated every week. Someone can explain? thanks.

eCAS for individuals is NOT updated every week, not sure where you got that understanding from.  It can be updated at any time, or it may not be updated at all.  You have to wait for the officer who did the interview to conclude their assessment and advise you of the outcome.

The SITE is updated weekly, NOT every individuals' files.  That is a general standard, and most definitely not intended to be perceived as meaning that individual applicants will see updates on their eCAS every week.  Some people NEVER see updates at all, and yet they are completed processing and landed in Canada.  eCAS is not infallible, nor is it reliable.  It is to be held to the same standard as CIC's staff around the world, i.e. NONE AT ALL.
