I am writing this to All Seniors who have already applied with full application to New Delhi and got Approval,

It is a classic problem as happened with most of us. i.e No Birth Certificate
what are other options to support birth certificate.

1) Passport
2) 10th Marksheet
3) affidavit from self stating Date Of Birth and place of birth . It would be duly signed by some higher govt authority like district magistrate or Tehsildar or first class gazetted officer.

I want to know, does this approch work with New Delhi? Kindly send your comments, who have already gone through this process. It will help others as its a common problem.

Best Wishes,

Dear All
You require birth certificate from the Govt office of your place of birth. All, who have applied for visa have obtained this certificate.I myself obtained birth certificate from my birth place city. As I was born before 1975, I was issued a certificate that my name is not in the register maintained by them.

you mean you still need written letter from the birth certificate issuing authority which says that, they don't have your birth certificate and you are free to show any other proof. Intresting.

What ever you have mentioned in your first post is sufficient. The immigration officer is a local and has local knowledge and knows the working style of India.

They have better ways to validate and check the authenticity.
