I have applied as FSW on 12th of august 2010 but still no AOR. Can anyone help me to know how much time it takes to receive AOR?

About 4 months.

First you will get CC/DD and after some 2-3 weeks comes AOR.

1ST AOR from CIO: 3-4 months. They are yet to take up files after 26th June.
2nd AOR from Visa Office: It varies from one visa office to another. London takes 5-6 months or more, New Delhi 1-3 months . You sent just now, less than one month. Wait patently.

Your application will go through following steps:

1. Your Credit Card or Certified Check/Money order will be encashed in 2-2.5 months
2. You will get AOR from CIO in 20 days after CC/DD is charged.
3. As per new rules, you don't have to send anything to VO after getting AOR, except if you didn't sent your PCC.
4. Islamabad VO will take 5-7 months to process your application.
5. They will request for medical reports.
6. Submit the medical report.
7. If everything is okay by that time, either they will ask for your passport or they would like you to appear in interview. In Islamabad, you will most probably appear for interview, unless you are very lucky.
