My great Naija people, I can see that a lot has happened since I signed off temporarily. The good Lord has opened a floodgate of MRs, and of course we ALL will definitely celebrate more this month.
Let me start with my most respected fellow elder, friend and brother, Pa' Prof' Right, the royal custodian of grandma's ring Wink, my brother 50 gbosas for you!!!!!!!!!!. And to all my great friends too, Pa' Kpopi77, Tokszeee, Goldenapple, and?Huh, (please put me on speed if I have omitted anyone), BIG CONGRATULATIONS!! to you all, and 100 gbosas!!!!!!!!!! Kiss. It will rain down heavily this month of April, remember our Lord Jesus Christ has finished the battle for ALL, just hang in there and wait for HIS gifts from Accra.

@  Our pre-Feb 2008, with utmost respect to our able Chairperson, I say; nothing megaa!, no shaking!, no one can shut the door that GOD has opened. Wait for the good news!!!!.

Hi Jovic,

Relax and expect your MR any time from now...I have same timeline with u (i.e. applied march 2010, Doc submission Sept 2010) and I'm also yet to receive MR. The only difference is that processing is Feb 6, 2012......I don't think you should worry as you are almost there.

Best wishes!

i dont think there is one factor to determine who gets what first or later because i have seen guys that submitted earlier than your timeline and also those that submitted later who have moved past MR.

i share a similar timeline with both of you, i.e app/march 2010 - full app/august 2010 - inprocess Dec2011 with RBVO till date

i feel the truth is, its a reality show; it is a game of ALL FOR ONE, GOD FOR US ALL.

i mean who scales celebrates and the rest can only hope it was them.

i dont want to sound SAD but its the truth.

This happened to be my grouse with CIC. Some "Mobutu" member can testify. CIC placed it on their website "gadagba" that processing is on first come, first serve; that application will be treated according to submission of documents. But I frown at such lies because there are no truth in it! how can someone submit FD in Aug, 2010 with In-process whereas somebody who submitted FD in December or even January 2011 is getting MR!!!!! It can be frustrating. But another issue is the Document request...This thing can delay most times.

That aspect is worse because it makes the applicant who submitted earlier jittery and uncomfortable and may be thinking whether the application is rejected. It's just a kind of game that is so full of hopes and disappointment. We will be there by HIS grace whatever the gimmick GBAM

Naija Backloggers,

Has anybody received any letter or email from CIC with regards to the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program FSW Backlog reduction pilot? If you have, when was the letter sent and from which office? I am trying to get Case Processing Pilot Ottawa to send me a invite because I meet all the conditions. Alberta was my designated destination and my NOC is one of those sought out.
Let me know.

Opportunities Ontario FSW Pilot Program

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has asked provinces and territories for assistance in reducing the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) backlog of applications submitted before February 2008 through the FSW Backlog Reduction Pilot (FSW Pilot) initiative.

As per the parameters of this initiative, Ontario identified the following five (5) occupations in which applicants destined to the province will get an opportunity to apply for an Ontario nomination leading to permanent residency on an expedited basis. Ontario identified the following five occupations:

-Computer Analysts and Consultants (NOC 2171)
-Software Developers (NOC 2173)
-Interactive Media Programmers and Developers (NOC 2174)
-Financial and Investment Analysts (NOC 1112)
-Mathematicians (NOC 2161)

CIC has been contacting applicants in these occupations in February 2012 to seek their interest in participating in this Pilot. Contacted applicants will be able to apply to Opportunities Ontario and will be assessed under FSW Pilot program criteria as Ontario provincial nominees. Applications are to be submitted to Opportunities Ontario by May 4, 2012. There is no provincial fee with the application and applicants who are not selected by Ontario will retain their place in the FSWP queue.

Does participation in the FSW Pilot guarantee a Permanent Residency (PR) status?

No. Opportunities Ontario can only nominate 600 applicants under this initiative. Opportunities Ontario reserves the right to process select applications among those received and return the remainder to the senders. Assessment by Opportunities Ontario does not guarantee nomination. Only applicants that are selected by the province and deemed to meet the eligibility criteria will be nominated.

Opportunities Ontario FSW Pilot Program: Who Can Apply

Applicant to Opportunities Ontario under the FSW Pilot must meet the following criteria:

-Intend to live and work in Ontario.
-Be in one of the five occupations identified by Ontario (
-Computer Analysts and Consultants/NOC 2171,
-Software Developers/NOC 2173,
-Interactive Media Programmers and Developers/NOC 2174,
-Financial and Investment Analysts/NOC 1112,
-Mathematicians/NOC 2161).

-Have a minimum of 3 years of related, paid, full-time verifiable experience in that occupation within the past 5 years.
-Have a minimum of a 3-year degree from a post-secondary institution.
-Have a minimum language proficiency of 6.5 for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or 4.5 for -the Test d'evaluation du français (TEF).
-Demonstrate a minimum level of savings/income to support yourself and your dependants according to the following schedule:

Opportunities Ontario FSW Pilot Program: How To Apply

-Please provide a free form letter indicating your ties to Ontario, if any, and the rationale behind your decision to choose Ontario as your place of residence. You may include reference letters, previous work/study permits, academic transcripts, affidavits from relatives in Canada, etc., to substantiate stated ties.

Wishing those, that have been invited for the fsw backlogs initiative/Ontario pilot nominee pragram a big success in your new application.

Thanks Seglad, I'm one of the invitee and i pray for God's favour and mercies. Cheers
