Ahoy, thank you for your quick response. I have sent mail to cturkington @ clpna.com for necessay info. Where on their site can I find the Application Form? Thank you.
Suggestion since youve gotten ur PR. y dont u contact the RN board first and see what they want you to do like maybe permit and then exam consent OR to go for a course or something. Once again the LPN route is just to buy time while preparing for the RN exam.

R u a registered nurse in nig? If so, u have to make them understand that u r a RN with xyr(s) of experience. If u dont let them know, u might be subjected to the long process of doing a refresher course expecially they knowing u r not US or Canada educated. Try to emphasize on your EXPERIENCE YRS and RN. Try as much as possible to sell urself( ie education wise), to avoid doing the LPN exam. See this link http://www.clpna.com/Applicants/InternationallyEducatedNurses/tabid/75/Default.aspx. If after everything u r not given the license then it would be better to apply to the RN nursing board. Remember d purpose of the LPN is just to have Canadian exp and income while waiting to do the RN exam ( which everyone must do). Good luck. Yes, I am RN in Nig. I will do that after receiving the e-mail earlier sent today. Regards.

@ Ahoy it's so interesting to know u got registered as an LPN while still in naija. Did u write any exam? What are d basic requirement? Do u have a U.S licence? It think this is a very good integration plan. Tolu

Secondly my wife won the US visa lottery and we already have the 6 months initial visa due in June 2012, although i still prefer migration to canada, going to the US will definitely affect my savings should canada request for my bank statement again. Meanwhile, a friend told me there is a treaty between Canada and the US that allows citizens of both countries to work across borders. Anyone privy to such experience. Your inputs will be highly appreciated
Congrats Tayotom on the US visa lottery won. From my own little knowledge of the relationship between US and Canada, a US citizen does not need Visa to visit Canada. Same applies to Canadian citizens but with exceptions for residents...... For details have a look at this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp and also read this: https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/1192/~/entering-the-u.s.---canadian-citizens%2Fresidents%2Flanded-immigrantsPray God guides you in making the "right and best choice" with respect to your immigration plans. Cheers!

My people,
It's been quite a while since i have been off the forum to attend to some issues. I congratulate those that have gotten their maple leaves and those in the process of getting theirs.
Things are looking up IJN and we hope to have more people on this side (The more we are, the merrier)
Wishing you all merry Xmas and fulfillment of God's purpose in our lives the remaining days of this year and years ahead.

ezinne
State your case again maybe I can help (sorry not able to trawl thru the discussion due to time)!
Peace!!
ezinne I have looked at your previous posts and from what I can see, this is my response: Firstly, the POF can be in the name of the principal applicant, their spouse or joint names/ownership. You have so many choices but I will not advise you to transfer money from one account to the other just to show the funds in your spouse's name, it is not necessary. Get a letter and/or statement from the microfinance bank. If you get a letter, make sure it states the name(s) of depositors, date of deposit, the balance at the date of the letter and that access to the fund is not restricted in any way. If it is a statement, please make sure it covers a period of one year and obviously a statement will show the names of the account holders. Also, you can combine both the letter and statement if you so wish and it is available. The above can then be combined with other bank statements in your name or spouses name or joint names, fixed deposit letters, bank letters etc. You are good to go, stop panicking!!! Peace!

@ ezinne, Pls dont get your self worked up, all accra wants to know is whether you have enough funds which can either be your sitting account balance or an amount that is fixed by either you or your spouse. PERIOD

Hi all, got an update from Accra to send my spouse transcript within 60 days. I updated my marital status in oct while sending the docs requested in Aug. I sent all the docs I felt would be needed and payment but unfortunately omitted the transcript. It took like 60 days from the day i sent that to them to get this update.
Good luck to all .

Hello all my people!!!!! I am so happy to be back to the forum and this thread in particular after a long and unexpected hiatus!! And I have had to go through tons of pages so far Everything is moving so speedily and I was thankful at the avalanche of good news from literally everyone!!! @ Toluwanile: the Lord is indeed your strength and song and the grace and fortitude He has blessed you with in the face of your loss amazes me. And may he always sustain you even as you prepare to move into your new land IJN @ everyone with visa, PPR, MR, update, PER I say congrats to you all. I am not even going to start mentioning names because I am likely to omit people . The numbers involved gives me so much courage. I really wish I was able to attend our christmas meeting to meet all the new faces too . ....and everyone seems to have missed me, even epistle writers like Pa(prof) Right . Guys, I am healthy and alright by His grace and can't wait to see you all again in the next meeting! @ Ig: I thank God for you and your dedication and help to this forum and meetings.
