Our landing experience is not much so there is not much to write about it. Our journey started from London Gatwick airport on 7/12/2011. We travelled with Airtransat airline. The flight was about 8.5 hours long to Pearson Int'l Airport, Toronto. We landed about 13:26 local time (19:26 Naija time). After landing, we had to wait for everybody to get down because of my children. We also needed some mobility assistance as the children were tired and hand luggages to carry. When we arrived at the immigration control, there was no single passenger. Were alone with the immigration guys. I am very sceptical of ladies at such moment (apologies to the ladies in the house). I went to a man and everything was very smooth with a statement “welcome to Canada”. Next was a custom man who seems not interested in us. He did his job as if we were not standing before him. And finally, a custom woman and she was angry before we got to her table. The experience with her was not pleasant as she was only interested in what I did not do right. After some time with her frown face, she let us go only after consulting with her superior. The controversy was that I did not make a list of all items I was expecting after landing. Overall, our experience was ok.
We are presently staying in Brampton. Since our landing, I have been impressed with everything so far. Compare to UK, everything seems big – cars, housing, roads, etc. We have got our Social Insurance Numbers & bank accounts. We will be going for our driving license tomorrow. Ontario's licensing authority confirmed that we can exchange our UK licence for an Ontario's license.
One issue that was surprising to me was their telephone system. The phone systems are complex. Things are expensive here. Please bring as much money as you can. I spoke with Seglad two days ago. He gave me some useful advice. Thanks to him
Best wishes and God bless. Shalom

Hello good people,
Congrats to Laplatto on your e-MR and to Tezkem & Shalom1 for your safe landing and integration - God'll daily load you with benefits.
My people it is Well ooo for Pre-June 26, 2010 applicants. I sent an enquiry to Accra last week and I received thesame response I got 6 months ago:Your application is still in queue for review; however an exact schedule is not available at this time. As you know, all applications are reviewed in the order in which they were received. I even mentioned the 19months processing time on CIC website in the enquiry, because this month makes it 19months they received our full application.
Well, that's their report. I believe God's report that our e-MR is on the way in no distant time. Compliments of the season to everyone, I hope to see all at the meeting.
cheers
,

What a good news. Am sure if they open, they must transfer our files immediately. Since the effect is to reduce travelling to Visa Office and for effective and efficient service. Haba, Naija is too big to be going to Accra for immigration visa. Accra supposed to be coming to Naija if we consider population, land mass and economic power. The imbroglio between Abacha and Ottawa caused the movement in the first instance. Thank God o for the wonderful move. God bless Canada and Naija! Pa Naija Pikin, you may not need to travel to Accra for your PR visa. Just board a flight to lagos. Get your visa gbam and come to my house gbam. Take a carton of chairman gbam. Go back to PHC next day Gbam Gbam Gbam!
