Omoelle, Thanks for sharing the information on the future plans for the Canadian Immigration process. What I have deduced from it is that the next few years would be dedicated to reducing the backlog and that future application numbers will decrease. I want to wish all those that have received their PR visas congratulations and all the best. God make a way for you in Canada (The true north). For those of us that are waiting, though it tarries it will surely come to pass in due time. Please spend some time doing some research about your profession and begin to make plans to make yourself marketable. The jobs are their but the are for the favoured and the prepared. You are an engineer, or , accountant, doctor or nurse, try finding out what certifications are required for you to practice in the province you intend to land. Certifications may differ from province to province. so find out. All the best folks  |

Since the waiting timo is becoming something else, Please let me know actually when processing time begins, is it when application is submitted to CIO Sydney Office or when full document is submitted to visa post or when E-cas status changes to In-Process? this has really affected my plan, so that one can easily adjust.

Since the waiting timo is becoming something else, Please let me know actually when processing time begins in my own Opinion, i will say it starts from the CIO stage. although the timing stated on the CIC site does not include the time spent at the CIO-stage, it only captures the time spent at the VO, is it when application is submitted to CIO Sydney Office or when full document is submitted to visa post or when E-cas status changes to In-Process not necessarily when it changes to In-process. bcos time spent on the queue is part of the processing time stated on the cic site? this has really affected my plan, so that one can easily adjust.
