Hello goodevening sir. I want to find out how long it will take to get one's passport returned with visa. I am planning to send my passport  very soon through a courier service. Which one is reliable. After how many days should one send courier to pick it up. What is the process.

Below is my earlier response to someone who made a similar enquiry;

Yeah, I made an enquiry to DHL on that about two weeks ago and they confirmed that they run such service, the cost is almost equivalent to the cost of travelling to Accra, so my take is that if one has the time to make the trip it will be worthwhile because you will be sure of getting the visa there and then, without any stories and even more express than the DHL delivery/pick up time interval given the anxiety that is very synonymous with getting the Maple leave. Below is the link to somebody's experience;

 @  TJ2010, I think it is better you appear at accra yourself just as advised. It's  just a day issue. Go on a sunday, be at the VO as early as possible on monday, take your visa and get back in the evening. One day off work is really not a crime.

But if your schedule is that tight, then authorize your spouse to go(if you are married) with all the necessary docs.  This is just to prevent unnecessary anxiety of the unexpected by courier service, moreso that the cost is almost same.

All the best.

Hello TJ2010.

My advise is that you appear physically in Accra for your visa collection considering that it has been almost a month since you got PPR.......I believe your PPR made reference to a 60 days ultimatum.Why don't you book your flight to Accra for next week Monday August 20, knowing fully well that the day has been declared as public holiday - thus it should NOT hurt your tight schedule. And you know it's a day's trip following Aero's schedule. I have a confirmation that the Accra Consulate will be open on the day.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

 @ Mandie,
Please can you confirm that CHC Accra will be open to issue visa on the 20th August, 2012, a public holiday has been declared here in Nigeria, what is the status in Accra because I'm aware that CHC Accra has maintained that they will be on break for every holidays declared in Canada and Ghana.

I wrote AVO for confirmation and got a YES answer although Mandie confirmed Monday is public holiday in Ghana. You may write AVO too.
