Hello Naija people join me in appreciation of the Lord's doing yesterday. While I was in the bank yesterday to sought out the BD for the RPRF. In the process a young man entered into my truck truck with a master key and took my bag that contains my notebook with worth of 300GB datas, DigiCam, back up drives of about 220GB  worth of datas, PCC for Me and my wife, Internet banking tokens, Passports........ But the God of heaven who shows himself strong on behalves of those who loves Him, used my driver who happens to be away from the truck by reason of my instruction to be in the bank with me due to the harshness of the weather to intercept this handsome looking early twenties guy with my bag in his hand live and only few steps away from vanishing into the air with the items I chronicled above.

Praiseeeeeeee God!!!!

Thank God for your life. where would you have started from?

 @   Emo; I congratulate u o. The devil is a liar.
Have u raised ur BD now. I think GT can raise in USD at any branch but am not sure if they could do for CAD at any of their branches. I went to 3 branches b4 I was directed to Ikoyi branch (where their foreign ops dept resides) and I collected the BD same day.

@  All; Enjoy your wkend as we expect rain of MRs, RPRFs & PR Visas btw now and next week.

God bless us all.

Thank you brother. They simply told me to check back. I requested that the BD should be denominated in CAD. That's why I guess. I sensed that the  decision to have it in CAD  was a mistake since AVO  accepts USD of same value. I am expecting to pay more and be charged more. CAD is more valueable at the moment.

@  All Thanks for the well wishes. I hope I have not distracted our friend who are on the look out for their MR today.

He will make all things beautiful in their time.

Lovina, DIAMONDX, Busy-Bee, BDX, Lady Spicey, mfoniso Thanks.

All Praise goes to Him.

From experience, u ve made no mistake as it is safe to av it done in CAD as the rates r very volatile now (especially USD/CAD). A senior who is already in Canada was asked to add about $25 USD by AVO after paying the amount initially advised in USD.

Whatever extra u are adding now is purposeful and shouldn't bother u much especially at this point.

All the best.

Pa Awo, with recognition of the fact that you have a member of the family in Canada am just wondering how on earth you would possibly spend that much for the Meds. Except if there are other issues requiring the attention of the specialist. You simply do not owe me any explanation if the latter was the case. Gbam!

Had to fly my son back into the country within 2 days of the MR and back ASAP due to school in session. I am fully aware that the Medicals can be done also in Canada but I do not want to leave anything to chance at this stage. His doing the Medicals in Canada holds the risk of delayed Medical results .I am aware of a family though now in Canada  who had members of the family do their Medicals  in different country (US and Nigeria). It took up to 4 months if not more for both results to be  be paired together.

FROM A COLLEAGUE IN JUNE THREAD

Long time reader. Thank you all for all the wonderful information you provide.

Received my PPR this AM.

The timeline is as follows:

Applied to CIC, Nova Scotia    : 17-Jun-2010
AOR from CIC, Nova Scotia      : Oct-2010
Submitted docs to Buffalo, NY  : Jan-2011
AOR from Buffalo, NY           : May-2011
Medical Request                : Mar-08-2012
'Medicals received' updated    : Apr-23-2012
Passport Request               : May-03-2012

I sent in my application after much procrastination, on a whim in June 2010. I dint know at that time, that only 8 days later the rules would change and that my NOC would no longer be eligible. Now it seems that that 'whim' would determine where I spend the rest of my life!

The Lord is merciful and great are his ways!

All the best to everyone.

Viva Cristo Rey!
Viva la Virgen de Guadalup

Just what happened to your dear Pa Right "WHIM" GBAM!!!! Cool Shocked Tongue Grin Cheesy

Based on my analysis, the application process for MI1 in Accra is following a systematic order. Accra seems to be processing in bulk. Last year, between September and November Accra VO dished out AOR to most if not all of the MI1 pending atm. From March this year Accra has been dishing out MR. Very soon,Mid-May i presume,  AVO will start dishing out PPR all through June.

Just my observation
