NAIJA1,
Congrats for the joy of a baby. How is the baby's passport application going? Are you waiting for Naija's Passport or British? If it is Naija's passport, you have to follow it up carefully and seriously.
I was in the same position during our medicals. We waited as well. After delivery, Nigerian High Commission told us to wait for >6months to get his passport. They said it was the procedure. Someone came to our rescue and the rest are history.

Do you know how long it takes for ACCRA to issue MR to a new baby after all the documents have been sent for including the child to the application.;  Or does any other forum member have an idea how longs it takes btw submitting a new born child's docs and the MR for the baby.Elders and seniors pls respond.  |

Invariably, what Accra was asking you are T4 slips and Bank statements of your sister in canada.Telephone bill is not enough to proof your sister's financial status in canada. Dont mess up your application, please. Give them what they want. Utility bills are no proof of address and financial status in Canada. Ask her to send her T4 if not back statements

I sent only the utility bill. Ive asked her to help me forward the t4 and bank statement to accra which she has already done through DHL.

I submitted full doc in Nov 2010. No reply yet from Accra.

Naija1, I don't have any idea of Accra's procedure. OOW4CHRIST has given a guide (red quote above). Our application was processed in London. My baby's own was issued the same day they received it. I followed it up with email and they confirmed it to me by email as well. Best wishes. |
