WITH RESPECT TO MY CASE

I AM A LEBANESE PNP APPLICANT : NOVASCOTIA
I HAD MY INTERVIEW THERE ON OCTOBER 2005 AND THE RESULT WAS POSITIVE
MY AOR : 21 NOV 2005
MEDICALS REQUESTED:1 MARCH 2006
MEDICALS SENT :6 MARCH 2006
SECURITY INTERVIEW:13 AUG 2006

I HAVE BEEN THROUGH BACKGROUND CHECKS SINCE 6 MONTH  , SO AFTER ALL THIS TIME OF WAITING I SENT AN EMAIL TO THE CANDIAN EMBASSY IN DAMASCUS AND THEY REPLYED :
Please note that background checks are still in process. This is a legal requirement prior to visa issuance and cannot be avoided. As soon as this step is completed we expect to be able to proceed to the final stage of assessment.
Once issued, the visas will be valid until [March 2007], which is the validity of medical exams.
When a final decision is made or if we require additional information, we will contact you. If there is any change in the information submitted for the application please inform us as soon as possible.
