Newborn details

Hi, I have sent full documents in September 2010 under FSW 4131. Now, my daughter was born on Jan 19, 2011. How much time do I have to send the details of my child (birth certificate, passport, etc) to CHC, as it takes around 2 months here to get the birth certificate. My consultant told me that all the necessary documents with regards to the newborn child need to be send to CHC within one month after the birth of a child. Currently my ecas status is "Received by Visa Office".

Well, your lawyer must be sure about it, however I could not find anything in the guides,OP or any other place about the month requirement. The CIC asks applicant for prompt update in case of such changes.

From EG7 guide: "make sure that you notify the visa office promptly of any and all changes to your mailing address, family situation, or any other information that is important to your application, such as additional education or work experience. "

GOngratulations on your new born! It is always a plaisure to have a new little one. I will sugest that you send right away a letter to your VO explain your situation. He/her will let you know of what CIC needs for your case.
