Hello everyone!!

Ked... when i did my application I didn't even include that I was in school under the job part... It asked the level of education which I wrote....

jaruby.. I am happy things seem to be going well for you... congrats to your hubby on the job... I am hoping that his son can maybe get there by september... I heard that when sponsoring children it doesn't take as long but I am not sure if that is correct info...

lilmaya... that is too funny you got a fan in your room... i got an AC in my window and trust me... I can only have it on when I am sleeping during the day cause I worked all night and hubby is not in the room... Once in a while when it's really hot he will turn it on for a few before we go lay down so the room gets a little chilly but as we walk in there... he turns it off... I couldn't be so lucky but to have the AC going all night Cheesy

ebonyshine... I am glad you and hubby had a blast... I am praying that in about 2 to 3 weeks we hear good news that you guys conceived Cheesy It's nice to have you back Cheesy I know it was awful to leave hubby in Jamaica but they can't make you wait much longer so keep the faith things will happen for you guys soon  Kiss

Lonely_wifey... I agree with Ked... tell your friend to get off Ontario Works asap... to be honest from what I understood they do a full verification of everything before they issue a visa... My friend filed for her husband in October she was in school and wasn't working at all and has been done school since janauary and still no job... well her hubby got a call not long ago and they asked him what his wife was doing as she is not working... for some reason they let him know that she has to be working and they give her 60 days to find employment which at that time the file would be reviewed and if she is still unemployment they would deny the application. The only thing is that my friend was never on social assitstance so that worked in her favor... but I must say that not because the person is approved as a sponsor that they will not look over at all the info before issuing a visa... Good luck to her!!!!

Well the weekend is near and still no updates from anyone, I guess KGN really is on vacation. Have a good weekend everyone Cheesy

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all so much for the responses from the Landing story. Im sorry I havent been on much, Im just so exhausted and trying to catch up at work.

So my husband was to start work on Tuesday, but his poor self got anxiety and scared to be in this massive city taking public transit alone. I think everything hit him all at once. I was so sad, he was crying... I went home at lunch to give him squishes. He felt so ashamed. Well today he started his job... I took him directly to where he needed to be to get his ride... He had some anxiety this morning but I forced him out the door. I think he's ok now. I hope.  Sad  Lilmaya, he's working with some contractors doing odd jobs.

Besides that, he's doing great.

I was just reading back on the whole being on social assistance problem and I know the question was already answered... you can not be on social assistance while sponsoring... the thing I wanted to let you know... someone said and I cant remember who.. said, that the sponsored person can not go on social assistance once they come to canada... In fact they CAN! Once the person goes on social assistance, the government takes their money back by deducting it from the sponsors wages. scary.

I also wanted to comment on the air conditioner... I only have one air conditioner and its in the bedroom. You wives are so loving!!! Me... not so much. My husband hates air conditioning... but do you think I turn it off.... heck NO! lol! I cant sleep in the heat! So my husband has slept in my sons room when it gets to much... !!! LOL! is this wrong... Shocked However, now that its gotten so so hot.. we all sleep in the one room.. we brought my sons mattress in the room so we are all in there now... lol!

I hope everyoone is good..! Cheesy

Good Morning All!!

Sanchester: No wonder Mr. Sanchester is crying.. you are making him sleep alone already! (That was in retaliation for the posting of our ugly future baby picture Grin) It must be so intimidating and nerve wracking for him. I hope his day goes really well today, poor guy  Sad! You should take him to Jamaica Day on Saturday. I know when I took my husband to Soccerfest he was just so happy to see so many Jamaican's in one place. My husband was saying the other day that Canada is a very lonely place. He was saying how he used to be able to walk outside and chat to people and now he can walk down the street and no one says a word.  Sad  It's definitely an adjustment for them.

P.S. Did you see Kedeisha gone lef mi on the posts. She lapped me already Smiley

Can't believe the weekend is here already but i'm sure glad it is!! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Sanchester: As self declared President of the U.H.A (United Hubbies Association) I'd like to state for the record that we dont support sleeping alone.... we did/do enough of that in Jamaica. Grin Wink

Lilmaya: I'm sure you're still having nightmares of that baby, she looked like chuckie's sister. Roll Eyes  Its funny your husband said that cause i'm always telling my wife im not used to being inside all the time and it sucks when i talk to her and hear our daughter begging to go outside in the background...not used to that at all, I'm gonna miss my verandah.

Mrs Proper: We have central air too which he is ok with (although it is set to 26 degrees  Lips sealed) so the downstairs is pretty cool. The upstairs bedrooms however are not..hence the fan. I snuck it on last night and he slept with few complaints so i'm hoping I can ween him into it.  Tongue

proper : My husband was ok but since i've been back to work it is very lonely. When we would talk on the phone when he was back in Jamaica, he was always shouting out to people and stopping to chat with everyone. There is no question.. Canada is different! He is so anxious to get working and he really wants to find some guys he can play soccer with. He was talking on the phone last night saying how much he wants to get working and be the man of the house.  Sad I know this is hard for him but it has only been 2 weeks and we were in Calgary for 1 so it will all come in time. It will be an adjustment Props but you know us wifey's are worth it  Wink

Sanchester : Fine. Because you called me good looking, I will retract my statement and all is forgiven.

Well... I'd give anything to be adjusting right now. I know there will be lil things i miss about Jamaica but I'd rather miss those than miss my family. For right now i only know one person that lives near my wife and hes not even the type that plays any kind of sports so it seems like my football days are numbered.  Sad  Don't care though.... i just wanna not be alone for a change.
