Not sure of your situation, but the reasons for one being turned down to sponser are if your on some type of social assistence, Bankruptcy, convictions ect.... as for your potential spouse crimminal record, medical issues, ect. Your can have a peek on the CIC website, this will give you a handle on what you need to expect, as well as the depth of information they ask for.
Sponsering a spouse is not for the faint of hearts, it takes huge committment on both parts, an extrodinary strength to get through the waiting game. You have come to the right place if you are wanting to joi this journey with us.. Good luck and take the time you need to make this life changing choice.. In my case I would do this a million times over!

Kadeisha, how are you and welcome to the Newbies forum...stay and stick!!! As per your relationship and proof of it I believe as long as you have detailed information pics and proof of communication it does not matter the timeframe in which you met and married. Just do what you are doing and bear in mind that you want to keep good proof and documentation of everything. My hubby and I started an intimate relationship in May 2009 and we got married Feb. 2010 even though we new each years prior so timing does not matter as long as your relationship is genuine and true. what God has brought together let no man take apart. AMEN and good luck girl...everything will e fine and you have us here to help you along with the process!!!
I am so not wanting to here at work!!!! Wish I could be home cleaning out my closets and organizing for hubby's home coming...

G'day everyone. Yes, it is indeed a day to stay indoors. I'm battling a sore throat and sinuses. So, I decided to be proactive and clean out my closet. Wow, I have a big pile for donations and quite a few clothes that are too tight lol. I'm sure once hubby gets here we can work off those extra lbs. that's my hope anyway  I had to find some room for hubby's things. I've even been picking up some cheap food for hubby. Seems sausages and mackerel have been on sale lately lol. When hubby comes I want him to feel a bit at home with some of his comforts. I keep teasing him that I may not have enough room for his clothes but he knows I'll find the space. I'm actually looking forward to him being here and having to fight over who gets the left side of bed. Seems we both like the same side ....should make for an interesting sleeping arrangement. I'm really glad KGN making some movements this week. Great to see. Sure hope they keep up the momentum over the coming weeks. Have a great weekend!!! |

kedeisha... i believe that timeframe only plays a little part into the immigrations officers eyes.. what they want to see if proof that you communicate everyday before and after the wedding... you are very lucky to have found this site even before you send off your application... this is great cause you can ask away any questions when times comes for you to prepare your file... as my friend ladyposh said stick and stay... this is a place where we find lots of great info and help each other go through the long process... it feels nice to see that we are not alone... welcome girl... togirl2011.. that is great news... i am slacking i didnt clean the closets yet... i guess I am waiting to get a few days off from work lol  btw seems like you may have to sleep on top of hubby on the left side of the bed lol hahahahahahaha god im sure nobody wouldnt mind that arrangement right at this point lol i havent seen hubby since feb and trust me hormones are at the roof top lol |

no big date set yet we are thinking of a small wedding here or go back home n do it there my mom says the money is spent best on our future so she says if its too much do it in Canada with a small dinner afterwards n then do a party in Ja maybe on our 1 yr me no know been going back n forth trying to see whats best... Today stinks rain but went to movie with nephew I cant wait for my days of countdown like some of u fortunate ladies n deciding who sleeps where thats sounds like thats the fun part |
