Hello,

I am a New Zealander 7 months into my WHP visa in Canada. I am really wanting to extend for a further 12 months if possible. Does anybody know what my best avenue for this would be? I have an IMM 1249 form "APPLICATION TO CHANGE CONDITIONS, EXTEND MY STAY OR REMAIN IN CANADA" and it seems fairly straight forward. But I have also heard people talking about LMO's and I don't want to waste $150 if I have the wrong application. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
I am a University graduate, I am 25 years old, no criminal record anywhere and no physical and mental health issues or history. I am fully employed and capable of supporting myself and paying for exit travel when I do need to leave Canada. My employer would vouch for me or provide proof of my employment if need be. I am also insured. Hopefully that information is useful  Smiley

Thank you in advance.

1.  As a New Zealander you can only can have one IEC (Working Holiday Visa) so you are out of luck for a second.
2.  To remain and work, you will have to find an employer who will apply for a Labour Market Opinion from HRSDC.  It will only be approved if there are no Canadians/PRs available for the job.  It has to be advertised on the job bank for 2 weeks, and the employer has to demonstrate why CCs/PR who applied weren't qualified.  If it is approved then you could apply for a new work permit.
