Hi All,
I want to fill my application for FSW in new year which will start after 26 June 2011 (correct me if I am wrong). For my application to be considered from the fresh year, should I submit my application before 26 June or after 26 June?
Thanks in advance!!!!

Also, as i was going through the checklist for the documents and it was mentioned that if one is applying on or after June 26, the application needs to be send to CIO in Sydney. I am from New Delhi, so to which CIO i need to send my application so it will be considered in new year?

Hi, The new year for the immigration will start on 1st july and not 26th June. As per the current information the file still needs to go to CIO and I would suggest wait for the new list which may change and then send the application then.
Where are you from in Delhi, I am from West Delhi and am planing to apply in July/Aug.

Yes I am talking about the NOC list which had 29 occupation this year, even though we are not expecting drastic changes but there may be changes and CIC is also hinting on changing the Points for IELTS, Experience, Education, age etc. So my suggestion, wait for the things to clarify before we take any steps

The changes most likely will be from 1st July but no one knows for sure. All the applications go to Central Intake Office (CIO) which is located in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada there the applications are reviewed for Eligibility based on the experience, Job role, Education Points and English points, if you qualify for the required points and your job role is in NOC list it is forwarded to the Canadian High Commission (CHC) New Delhi in our case, and there the verification of the documents, work experience security checks, medical etc happens.

That is a useful input, thanks a lot. So you are applicable to which NOC as per existing list?

I have experience in Hotel industry and IT, I am waiting for the list to be updated as one of the consultants here is telling me IT may come back in list but I am not sure and cannot confirm the same until the list is updated. After the list is out I will decide which NOC I'll apply.

that is good, i hope i also comes in the new NOC list. What do you think, do we need a representative or there is enough information and applicant is able to handle all the processes?

Not sure on that part, Seniors on this forum suggests doing it on our own and I don't think it is difficult but I think consultant may give a polished look to the file, have sent you a PM for the same as well.

Refer to the official CIC website frequently, as updates may come out with the start of the "new year" on 1 July 2011. It was 26 June 2010 for the start of the past year, but they announced it would revert to 1 July after that. Read, learn, live the GUIDES! Print off the forms and read them carefully. DO NOT LEAVE ANY SPACES BLANK. If it doesn't apply to you, write in N/A. Sign and date where required and pay special attention to the information regarding fee payment. Check the website prior to submitting your application to ensure the forms haven't been updated since you began completing them! http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdfRead the forum threads relevant to completing your application. You can do a SEARCH in the top right corner of the main Forum page when you are stumped. If you don't find your answer there ask questions. Follow the Check lists for CIO and your specific VISA OFFICE completely. If they ask for something in a particular format - provide it. If you have tried and find it impossible to do something, write a cover letter explaining what you have tried and what you are providing to meet the requirements. Just be aware, that every time you step outside the lines....it gives a Visa Officer a chance to decide whether or not to accept your submission. Proof of funds is a common stumbling block. It MUST BE YOUR MONEY, it cannot be a loan. You may be asked at a later point in the process to provide up to 12 months of bank statements (or other proof of investments) to show that you had that money prior to the day you sent your application in. Good Luck!

Thanks for your information. That means you want say CIO has done points calculation visa office's responsibilies verification only. Thanks again. CIO's main responsibility is to verify if you qualify as per ministerial instructions, the points are again calculated at VO when the Processing begins and then all the documents, Experience letter, university transcripts etc are verified by VO

First time points calculate by CIO's then VO under new rules because we are sending all documents to CIO's. What did do they before when send to CIO only application? VO can reject file it is true. Why you are sending all documents to CIO. Please reply me.
