There was case file against Canadian immigration practices as they were about to remove the old cases which where file on and before 2002, this was the reason for delay for old files. A case was registered in Canada against the immigration laws. Canadian judge ordered the immigration department to review the cases as per new law. According to the new law, those people whose skill are required in Canada on urgent basis immigration authorities would expedite their process. I have just applied in 2006 but they have started the inquiry. People in software have great oppurtunity.

Hi there,
Yes the new rules affects all the CHC's. I am not posting on my assumption, i have sure got experience. With new rules in affect CHC would take less than 4 years {Maximum}to decide on your case(provided you have submitted the complete documentation and you follow the procedure as per direction of CHC instruction) The process would be further get expedite depending on the individuals experience and qualification. If its skill are urgently required as approved by the HRD of canada. Currently software professionals are in great demand in canada.

Hi Justin,

In your opinion do you think software testers are in demand out there? I only applied in November '07 so all they currently have is my simplified application form.

You've given us all something positive to think about. Thanks!
