Hi Everyone,

I finally got my visa and should be in Canada by June this year. My landing to Canada will be just a visit and to get my PR card. The CIC website said 36 business days to get new PR card from landing. I've read situations where they get theirs after more than 2 months. Shocked  I still have work in Dubai and should return back as soon as possible. Is it possible to expedite the process?

No - it's not possible to expedite the process for new cards.

However you can have a friend or family member in Canada mail the PR card to you in Dubai once it's ready.

I see. The PR card is just mailed to the address you provide when landing and I do not have to receive it personally. This solves my problem then. Thank you so much! Grin

This is provided you do not have any problem with photos etc... Mine has problem with photos and it takes 192 days!

Why there is problem with your photo .
What if we submitt correct photo as resqusted in website
