I'm not complaining! NOC 4131 lets me apply . . . But it either means that my best chance of working in Canada is to teach in an extremely remote college, or change careers. I'm leaning towards the latter, since the former will always be an option.
I might also be wrong -- I'm sure that CIC uses both short-term and long-term projections when making their list, and perhaps 4131 is going to experience big shortages in 10 years. Given their processing times, it would be necessary to start recruitment now

I think the idea of a primary/secondary list is a very good one. I also think that if they could figure out a way to adjust the list quickly, it would be very helpful -- of course, that would also require them to process it quickly.
