(The Federal Immigrant Investor Program is now closed as 700 complete applications have been received at the Centralized Intake Office.  This new annual cap was introduced through ministerial instructions, which came into force on July 1, 2011. The cap will reset on July 1, 2012, unless otherwise indicated in a future ministerial instruction. The cap does not apply to the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program).
So now whoever wants to apply for FEDERAL INVESTER CATEGORY,has to wait for next July 2012.

not really, they let in around 700 every year, they have a limit of how many they let in it is the same for old applicants anyways.

@  nabeel : You are right my friend, they have announced the CAP system to ensure that the old applications get processed first and now they have closed INVESTER CATEGORY applications for time being because they already received 700 applications for this year.

@ ihabkal : My friend Mr. Nabeel is not asking how many applicants they let in to land in canada each year, but he is asking the reason for introducing CAP system for Federal invester category and the reason is clear as mentioned in cic web site that they want to process the old load of applications so will take only 700 Application each year !
