dear all
i jhave come to know from this forum that local office issues a new file no. after submission of full application. does that mean that we can ceeck our status only with new no. or are we able to check our status with the old file no. issued by CIC-Sydney also? anybody?

we can check with both... read OP120 carefully... i even tried it on e-CAS

but i m not able to check my status on e-cas fopr last 3 weeks now with the original file no. i m still awaiting 4 new no. from chc-nd. i submitted my full app int he last week of june.

thnx for the info. can i ask u one more thing? how long do they take to respond? and shall i include my all info like file no. etc. while mailing to them?

no idea on the response time... i never mailed to them...
but, you should mention the File Number. they will not be able to check anything without that.

Please also share their response time for future reference.

i send an e-meil to webmaster yesterday and got a reply 4 the same today. within just one day. i think that shows their professionalism.
