hi. if u receive the letter from new delhi chc for updated documents, then please make sure that alongwith the income tax return receipts, u shud also send the notarized photocopies of ur form 16. the main reason for this is that the income tax return receipt doesnt mention ur employer and the details of ur income. on the other hand, the form 16 mentions ur employer, details of ur income, details of ur savings etc. this clears the doubts in the minds of the people who will be processing and verifying your case and employment. in such cases, they dont carry out background check if u supply all these documents pertaining to your employment. if u have any queries, do let me know. with regards, harryk.
