hi everyone i have submitted my passport on 26 feb at delhi by speed post and am just wondering how long does it take to get the passport back .i inquired through mla in canada and was told that they are doing the back round check does any one know what is it and how long will it take to get my passport back i lived in canada for 5 years as student .

these immigrant office people give generalized answers to everybody..  nothing to worry ..

huge no of applicants in similar siutation waiting fr visa since jan feb and am one among them too

 Yes it is a full on head on situation over here. I'm a young guy still in his 20's so i do have time. But time stops after DM and i'm sure there are a very few people who happily bear this wait at such a late stage. As they say 'Aar ya paar kuch to ho par jo be ho jaldi ho'.

Day after I am going to complete 3 months from Medical Request. Still waiting for DM amd PPs. So I can well imagine what you are going thru.

Will catch up on Trailer Park Boys and Corner Gas. Which channel airs it? Russell Peters f course has been on of my fav!! My entire family is hooked on to Big Bang Theory and 2 and a half men. Will switch gears to something more canadian now Wink

Both these shows are not available on indian tv. Go on imdb.com get the season and episode list and then to google.vids . Most of the vids are available there( Just set search to 20+ min only) the type for ex: 'Trailer park boy s01e01 'etc etc.

do you know that all the people in the Visa Offices are under going a training in connection with the new immigration rules and backlog reduction schemes which will be implemented very shortly. a very few VOs, may be less than 5, are functioning now. by june things will acquire its normal pace. no need to panic my friend  Smiley

I'm just wondering, does encashing of the RPRF draft mean that they're done with the background and security checks and are ready to issue the visa?
