please tell me
we have submitted passports for visa issuance...
How much time does it take in visa issuance we are 5 applicants in Parents grand parents category???
Does passport request is a guarantee of visa for all applicants???
in 5 applicants two are my parents and we 3 are dependents and one of my brother is 26 years old....

I want to ask a question..

What are the chances of rejection once Medical and Passport request is received?

As far as I understand.. MR and PR is done only after background checks are done, plz correct me if i am wrong.

Hi jainanshal,

Rejection is rarely happen after submitting pp and mr.

Background checks take place after submission of pp and mr.

My background checks are still going on even after expiry of my medicals. Still dont know that how much time it will take?

Thanks Sandeep but i have a doubt...

If background checks are done after submission of Medicals & Passports.. don't you think that after the initial point calculation, this is the second most likely time for rejection?
Also, as far as i know, waiver from Interview is also conveyed in the same email which is sent for medical request, wouldn't this imply that they are already done with checks as only then they can officially waive the interview?

I am a little confused about the process that follows RBVO.

IN my opinion, Background Checks are done before issuing MR/PPR requests ....atleast for post June Applicants

Please add my time line. I am submitting my passport on December 21st 2011.

Please see my other timeline on left hand side. Does any one know how much time it will take to come back our passport if I will submit on 20th December 2011. The reason I am asking this question because currently I am in Canada and I can manage only 4 weeks leave from my work place. would it be advisable if I submit cover letter with my passport??

I have got my DD encashment receipt through snail mail on 18th november . But till now medicals received line has not yet been added on my Ecas .
does it means that their will be delay in getting my passport with maple leaf . do they go for any background verification by this time also ? . When can i expect my passport with maple leaf .. Smiley Smiley Smiley
