Send a fax to VO and ask for the details of ur passport. Yes, sometimes it takes as long as 15 days.

One week has passed, i think i should wait for one more week then send fax Vo, what do  you suggest??

Yes, I ordered CAIPS notes couple of weeks back. Hope to get them in coming two weeks.

Hi rajeev,


If your relative is in Canada then u just have to   pay $5 for it. For that fill 2 form and sign them by u and your relative. Then send it .

If you have any relatives in Canada, then they can order CAIPS notes on behalf of you. For that follow the abovementioned link.

If you dont have any relative in Canada, then you should log on www.caips.ca This will cost you between 40-80 dollars.

hi friends,
 I had applied for Study permit 3months back in the month of april.Course of Study being "Project Management",Level of study-Graduate Certificate Program at Centennial College.
My VISA had been rejected and the reason mentioned was that the course of study is not related to my previous education.

I've completed my Bachelor's in Bioinformatics in June'10 with 62% and have an IELTS score of 7.5. And from the past two months i'm working as a Software Professional.

  Last week i've taken the medical test and i'm planning to apply again for the study permit but the course of study now being "Biotechnology Technician",Level of study- Fast Track at the same Centennial College.

  I need your help and guidance as to what precautions i should be taking and what are the chances for my visa approval this time.

Noticed on NDVO spreadsheet that many had their RPRF encashed as far back as March and April '11 and still have not got their visas.

What could be the reason for the delay in such cases?

i donot know what is going on why it takes 45 days in one case and 90 days in other case to recieve visa after RPRF,MEDICAL PROOF,MEDICAL REPORT AND PASSPORTS SENT TO NEW  DELHI VISA OFFICE???I SENT MY PCC ALONG WITH APPLICATION IN OCTOBER 2010 ,AS WRITTEN IN POST ITS NOW MORE THAN SIX MONTHS OLD..............

I am very thankful to you that you have started this thread. I had sent my application form to Nova Scotia in Feb26,2010. I got reply via email on April14,2010. I submitted my documents on 19 July, 2010. Since then there has been no updates.

Dear Jalap,
I request you to check your post box too. I also called CCO on Tuesday (14/06/2011) and they said they have not received documents on that day and asked me to call next day. I callled on Wednesday and they said other documents are and my documents are not received. I found out the following Monday (as I only went to post office that day) that they have posted a letter on 14/06/2011 itself asking me to collect my documents. I went to CCO on 20/06/2011 (Monday) to collect my documents. The guy at the reception checked the name list and said they have posted the letter and that is the only document they have received from CHC. When I said I was asked to collect documents in the letter (which I did not bring to CCO), the guy checked for parcels and handed me my passports. So my advice is calling CCO is not enough. I hope you will get your passports next Tuesday. Good luck.

dear seniors

is it mandatory to carry funds as per the CIC website? i want to carry only CAD 9500 (in all forms) for 3 persons including me. i checked the COPRs but there is not such requirement mentioned.

I have gone through threads on proof of landing funds but could not able to clear the picture.

each person in a family can carry CAD 10,000 or this limt is for a family without any disclosure.
