Thanks ankit Rajeev There is one customs disembarkment form for one family so the limit of CAD 10000 is per family w/o declaration. The immigration officer does ask for how much money u are carrying. They generally do not ask to show the proof of amount that you declare u are carrying. dear seniors
is it mandatory to carry funds as per the CIC website? i want to carry only CAD 9500 (in all forms) for 3 persons including me. i checked the COPRs but there is not such requirement mentioned.
I have gone through threads on proof of landing funds but could not able to clear the picture.
each person in a family can carry CAD 10,000 or this limt is for a family without any disclosure.

You haver to carry min fund as per CIC, but there is no upper limit, you can carry as much as you want but not in cash but you can make draft of what ever amount you wish to take along with you |

Has anybody heard of Rejection after Medicals/RPRF/PPR being requested by CHC, New Delhi OR after submitting of these documents?
If a person has a FIR in his/her name in the local police, will that have any affect on the Security check?
Please share your views.

YES in most cases. Except in Grasshopper where the VISAs arrived before RPRF.
thanks Another thing; My ecas is IN PROCESS but NOT showing "Medicals received" even though I did medicals more than one month ago. Should I contact the hospital that did the medicals? Or does it happen often that they don't update about Medicals on ECAS. |

As informed by you by i asked the postman but he has not received any courier from new delhi and since monday 4 days also have passed but yet i have not received the ssame, is it possible that sometimes it takes more time... how much is the maximum days within in which i should receive and if not received where should i contact for passport???

What I feel, background checks and security checks are illogical after request of RPRF, Medicals, especially Passport request. There are many applicants who work for MNC and have a high profile job and one day they are in India, the next in US, the next in African Jungle etc. If they do security checks after PPR, and the security agency takes time to give reports, then the applicant's job is in a toss. Visa officer will just say NO LOSS. :-) VO should treat each individual with importance and should know the importance of holding ones passport. |

Send a fax to VO and ask for the details of ur passport. Yes, sometimes it takes as long as 15 days. |

Mr. Dhillon there is no limit to carrying cash, too. Amount in excess of CAD 10,000/- per head should be declared. Declaration doesn't harm you in any way. |
