Hi canaspirant, My case is also similar to sukhi. But people advised me like below :-- (1) If ND VO send you medical before delivery then inform them about the situation otherwise (2) And if they don't send medicals till the time of delivery. Then inform ND VO after the delivery of the baby with new docs. What you or other senior members suggest please  ?? Hello friends , My case is also same as yours , and my consultant suggested the same as Sumit is saying , its better to inform them once the baby is Born . If you get the Medicals before Delivery and if there is still more than 45 days for delivery of the baby , then still Go ahead for the medicals with all the family members (Including Pregnant wife if she is in the condition , or take a certificate from your consulting Doctor) and all the Members can carry on with the medicals except the wife's X RAY ( In which case also the Doctor takes a consent form you if you want to still carry on with the medicals , they will use a shield ) , and CHC will give extension for your wife's medicals ( if In complete / or not Done at that time ) , then once the baby is born , u can get all the formalities done along with the Passport etc.. of the baby medicals of the wife and the baby ( which is not done (just a formality of filling forms etc ) ,and then submit your complete docs . to CHC at that time . The benefit of following this method / or Procedure is that your File is complete as per the BFD , but with an exception of the Pregnant Mother and the new born child , for which the CHC gives you the benefit of waiting or extension and completion of Docs in Future . i have opened account with scotia bank yesterday.
wasn't really impressed by them , now i am having second thoughts transferring money to account instead of thinking TC
anybody with comment.
booked tickets to toranto as well for 9th june from delhi on jet airways

Congrats Jassi on your landing preparations. I have opened the account with Scotia bank as well w/o any hassles. I am thinking of transferring the money with them What are your concerns with Scotia bank. Is it the bank environment or the service that you got i have opened account with scotia bank yesterday.

i don't know didn't got good vibe going there maybe i had very tight schedule and was tiered going in there. she wasn't really informative all she was to answer will send you an e-mail. handful of branches in canada |

Hi Jassi & Ankit,
I started the process of account opening with Scotia bank and found them to be quite helpful. The form was less than a page long with the bare particulars, they offer a one time (upto 50 k CAD transfer per family) before landing, they have the max number of branches in canada and they have the best rates for all services. TC, DD and cash have their limitations, dd is effective only after you open an account and if it is from reputed cos like thomas cook it will take two working days to realise. TC and cash are easy options but not very safe to carry such huge amounts. A combination of all the tree options is what is ideal. The best part of opening account with Scotia is you get a credit card with a limit of CAD 1000, to start with. This is essential as it help you to establish a credit history without which it will take a long time to obtain one.

So, What you are doing is transfering all to canada bank from Indian bank. So do they need throughout statments of just like you got visa stamped and then you just need to get another statement direct from NS bank Canada? where money might not be maintained during all those months during u r doing your preparation after visa? a bit confused..  |
