If I were u I would send the copies of the pp (need not be notarized)along with the original.  If they do need it, it will save trouble.

Booked Tickets for myself, my wife and our daughter on the 9th(Wed). We are flying to Toronto on the 25th of May 2011. Lots of things to be done before that. I feel that the real work starts after you get the visa and the anxiety has doubled now compared to what it was earlier. I am sure all of you who have got the visas are going through the same feelings as us.

Congratulations to Stev for the visa and all the best to Gav and the others who are eagerly waiting for their visas. I am really waiting for Gav to get the pp with the visa since his is a very peculiar case.

Gav please have full faith in God and you will definitely see light at the end of the tunnel.

Insurance Issues
I talked to ICICI and Bajaj Allianz for insurance and they said that they do it for 60 and 30 days respectively for immigrant Visa

Bajaj Allianz call center did tell me that they do it for 6 months but when I asked them to send this to me on e-mail in writing they backed off and said that they do it for 30 months for travellers on immigrant visa.

Not sure which Travel Insurance Company can provide 90 days Insurance on Immigrant Visa. Has any body checked that

Guys I visited Scotia bank and they said that if you want account through them, then you need to contact them 4 weeks before departure.

Process - Take your PP and COPR and rest will be taken care by Bank
You get a welcome kit and A/C no. in 20-22 days
In one go you can transfer the amount you want to. u get only one chance for Wire Transfer
Scotia bank releases u a advice ( Bank certificate) which is as good as as Bank certificate and works as POF at port of entry

The Banker advised me that any body who wishes to open the account should take prior appointment. The Contact Details fo Scotia Bank ND are

Excellent Anikit_20 !!

I was just thinking about this list.  Even I was thinking 'what all to settle at home land before to move' List.  Cheesy
For the Insurance, Qorax's post may be useful.

Thanks Manish. Education equivalence is optional for job hunters but many people including CIIP has recomended it. They opinion was what if employer has not made up his min on hiring you and need just the right thurst, in that case it is handy

Few of my contacts in Canada got jobs with out it, so I know it is just optional
