Hey guys, got my passport with the visa stamped today  so many mths long wait finally paid off, I thank everyone for their support, and for those who are waiting, my best wishes for you to get it as early as psbl.. |

Stev, If you look at the tracker, except Gauri (May be due to her pregnancy) & Simon123 (AOE -Arranged Offer of Employment), all moving cases are Jan and Feb - file transfer cases and we are all are in Feb. So let us not lose hope at the last minute. We are not delayed, Others have gone faster.  and we will get it  We have our thread mates wishes !! nsukan

I went to chc newdelhi on Wednesday for correction of passport number in visa and copr and there i met a person who has submitted his passports 2 months back and was frustrated due to delay,he directly went to inquiry counter and asked the official that he wants his passports back without visa stamped as he requires his passports.the official responded that if he require without stamps he will get them within one hour otherwise if he wants them stamped he can come tomorrow and collect them by hand.So friends this may also be an option for those who have waited for more than three months.

recieved furtherence letters a lot of times and at last medicals cleared on 29th december 2010
Passports again sent along with son's passport on 30th december

is this the case for people whose ecas is changed to DM and waiting for the passports too?......what is the maximum time people waiting after their status got changed to DM? |

1 week MAX, for some applicants it had exceed to 1-1/2 or 2. Generally its 1 week Stev
is this the case for people whose ecas is changed to DM and waiting for the passports too?......what is the maximum time people waiting after their status got changed to DM?

i am not senior though , but you do have option of collecting the passports from CHC itself . you cannot submit them but yes you can collect them by taking appointment prior. and the language doesn't have to be that straight. but by doing so you are taking a risk of interview as they will know that you are coming and why not spend some time with you . so it is not advisable. |

According to my info one is not allowed in without prior appointment. If one is really desperate, he should write to CHC. They respond fast to such requests. You can not be sure of this approach succeeding. Everyone may not be as lucky as the guy sandhujatt met. I would not recommend this approach unless you really need your passport urgently. I know guys like Gav, letsgocanada, nwaraich and you have been waiting for visas for too long. Continued patience will pay off. Don't let frustration get better of you. |

That is very strange but It can work sometimes not sure though.My spouse travels a lot and we need passport but im afraid to ask to Canadian High Commission for Passport as they may return Passport without Visa its better to be safe rather than sorry. all friends may be this post help all of those waiting for passports back
