New Delhi Passport Tracking Thread

Hi,

I live in US and I got the request from New Delhi VO to send my medicals and passport by Nov 7. My attorney says either I should send my passport with medicals by Nov 7 or send the medical alone and after my application is finalized I can send the passport.

1. I would like to know if we can send my Indian and my sons US passport to India while I am in US, if so how should I do that?
2. How many days or months it would take to get my passports back from canada embassy in New Delhi?
3. How can I get the passports back from India as canada embassy in New Delhi says they can only mail it to an Indian address and not anywhere else?
4. In case of emergency trip to India while my passport is in transit how can I get back my passport to make that travel?

Any prior experience or news heard from others or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in adavance.

It actually depends your travel history ,proof of fund declaration and your proper documentation

Particulalry in my case they have still kept my passports since 27th July '2010 .after 2.5 months , I have sent a letter to them about my process ...Surprisingly they have shown descrpancy in my sons' birth date in one of the paper on 13th October ....

One point I did not understand is why do they need to hold my passports  for almost 2.5 months ..What I learn t is they are particular about documentation..
 
Please be sure in above points .. You can be the lucky one to receive your passports back within 2  weeks

Sorry Not from US to INDIA .. I have sent my Passports from Nepal to India by Courier ..They carry it with certain extra fee ...By next day , it reached New Delhi ..

I wrote a letter to CHC New Delhi with all details about my present and old passport details including expiry dates, rprf amount, medical copies eventhough medical is being sent by DMP ..

My E-case status has change to "In Process" on 26th Oct.

Status says that they started processing my application on Oct 21st, does it mean that they already sent my Medicals??

Hi Seniors ..

Pls throw some light on this query :

Do I need to maintain proof of funds in bank till I get the visa?
My consultant advised me that you need not to maintain it till that far, just wait for acknowledgement of Medical /PPR/RPRF from CHC...

What u guys suggest?
