Hi All,
I have landed In Vancouver BC on 27-01-2011.

the journey was very hectic.. Immigration at CAnada took just 20 minutes but there was a huge queue due to new immigrants and students...and we haVE TO WAIT FOR 3 HOURS TO GET OUR IMMIGRATION DONE.........
Now waiting for PR card and health cards...
got SIN numbers on the spot but SIN cards are not yet received as these are to be mailed within 10 working days...........
Account is opened in TD bank with passports identity and COPR.

I feel like e-mailing them but after i read everyone's messages i don't think it is advisable to email them a query for status update.
Again waiting is the keyword.

I don't understand why they keep our passports for so long time, keeping us all at edges. I read many thread the 3 main problem that delays processing even after Medical are

First is background clearance but any one who gets PCC from India and FBI clearance from USA  why they have to wait.

Second is Marriage, today in India too there are civil marriage conducted, if anyone don't have photos for any rituals what can they do, it could be inter-cast marriage.

Third problem is Proof of fund, people show fake back accounts but who ever show real a/c they wait.

I meet a guy at CIIP Session in mumbai, he got his visa and he is saying in seminar that his intentions are to go to USA as illegal and join his brothers business, these type of people get visa but we have to wait....... where the hell is background check over here

Well! i can't get what embassy what from us  

lot of opportunities are crossing ways but we have sacrifice because of their protocols

Hi jatt,

As I have mentioned earlier there are only 3 reasons that i found which can result in refusal at this time that is after Medical and passport submission
Police Clearance, Marriage query and proof of fund

Rest senior members of this thread should add to this.

Ok brother here is what i know ....

No we missed the call ...we tried to give a call back ....but operator told us that VISA officer will call if he/she feels like....we waited but no one called and we recd the medical/PPR after a week.

Getting a call is possible anytime....before and after the medicals....so be on your toes till the time you get the VISA and as i said ....take special care during mornings.

In my opinion chances of getting the VISA after medicals are same as the chances while applying....but ppl say if your interview is waived chances are high...

Chances of getting verification call after medicals are same....if they feel like they call you....if they have a doubt or some information they need they call.

Yes there are chances of getting interview call after medical as a matter of fact it has happened with one guy in the forum only.

Yes there are chances of someone from the chc paying a visit to your employer for verification....they may call your employer....they may pay a visit ...or they may be happy with your documents and they don't verify with your employer.....depends on them

I hope i may have given some information....information is based on my understanding purely.......

thanks Gav for ur response, jst want to knw that have u receive any kind of employer verification call before or after medicals coz my friend and his employer have nt received any kind of call from embassy.
wat is the possibilty of getting any verification calls with regards to anything after medicals?
wat si the possibility of getting visa after medicals?
wat is the possibility of personal visit by the embassy for verification?
Is there any chances of getting personal Interview call from embassy after medicals?

10  First Medical request & passport request - 20th May 2010.Requested for the postponment as they were expecting their first baby
11  Query1 solved and send: 27 nov 2010. Last query (2) solved and send: DEC 15 2010.
12  mailing address missing with ND, sent again

Brother....No body knows how much time it takes......When i sent the passports....someone told me it takes about ....30-45 days.....then someone told me it takes up to 60days....then ppl said process is slow because of december xmas n all and the things will pickup in the month of january....now its more than 100 days.....about 4 months.....still waiting for it....one of my friends who got his VISA 1.5 years back told me the day i sent the passport that it takes 3 months....now even he is amazed .....what is taking so long....so the actual answer is no one knows how much time it takes......the thing is keep your fingers crossed and wait for it till the time it comes...
