Dear barkat, CCO is Canadian Cooperation Office here in Nepal. Documents are sent from CHC ND via diplomatic courrier to CCO Nepal and CCO delivers documents to concerned people. Since you are in India this system is of no use to you. Good luck. |

My bank confirmed today that the RPRF draft has been encashed.
Will NDVO send the RPRF receipt before it sends my stamped passport?
YES in most cases. Except in Grasshopper where the VISAs arrived before RPRF. |

Dear Jalap,
I request you to check your post box too. I also called CCO on Tuesday (14/06/2011) and they said they have not received documents on that day and asked me to call next day. I callled on Wednesday and they said other documents are and my documents are not received. I found out the following Monday (as I only went to post office that day) that they have posted a letter on 14/06/2011 itself asking me to collect my documents. I went to CCO on 20/06/2011 (Monday) to collect my documents. The guy at the reception checked the name list and said they have posted the letter and that is the only document they have received from CHC. When I said I was asked to collect documents in the letter (which I did not bring to CCO), the guy checked for parcels and handed me my passports. So my advice is calling CCO is not enough. I hope you will get your passports next Tuesday. Good luck.

Hey tim50, We both are on the same boat. Even my mailing address is missing on my ecas status. Its not strange for me, it has happened 2-3 times earlier also. Very sad to say, I am still "In Process"  Sandeep |

Hi Everyone,
In my case CHC ND issued Medical/PP/RPRF request in July 2010, however at that my wife was pregnant so I asked for an extension. The medical was reissued in May 2011 and I completed my medicals in June. I paid my RPRF in July 2010 itself.
Does this mean that CHC has already completed by background checks and I can expect to get my passports sooner or will they go for the background checks again and I will have to wait for a couple of months before I get my passports back with the visa stamped.

Hi,
Yesterday I sent case specific query to ND VO about PP status after decision has been made (14 days elapsed)
I don't know what is happening there
I suspect it takes time due to change in name of principle applicant to everywhere after when I sent renewed PP (new name after marriage)
I can see new name in ECAS since the DM but I don't know where it left to update
If I don't get any response till next Monday then I will send fax to visa office
Please guys give me ur suggestions

dear seniors
is it mandatory to carry funds as per the CIC website? i want to carry only CAD 9500 (in all forms) for 3 persons including me. i checked the COPRs but there is not such requirement mentioned.
I have gone through threads on proof of landing funds but could not able to clear the picture.
each person in a family can carry CAD 10,000 or this limt is for a family without any disclosure.

There is one customs disembarkment form for one family so the limit of CAD 10000 is per family w/o declaration. The immigration officer does ask for how much money u are carrying. They generally do not ask to show the proof of amount that you declare u are carrying.
