Thanks for the information. m getting desperate and feel that this wait from PPR onwards is the most nervebreaking one..Getting dejected almost daily with the same status...
.
1) No Background check for your son(below 18 yrs)
2) If you stay is more then 6 months then you have to provide FBI certificate...Since they have not called for it...not required...
3)You will get ur visa shortly.
4)It is not necessary that you will get a call...but still you can get a call no guarantee...its upto ur VO.
5)NO DIFFERANCE TO UR CASE.....

Brother...my suggestion......get in habbit of nervebreaking waits.....now onwards till the time you settle properly there will be a lot of waits.... Does ND VO informs when your DD is encashed...please share your views.
no, check it from your bank . you will get a receipt though, but when and at what stage no body can predict that. |

Everything is clear, but what do you suggest for funds. TC or Scotia? What you have chosen?

even though i have deposited little money into my scotia bank account, because i had already opened the account with them. but i found TC more convenient and easy to carry then depositing the money in scotia bank. and i have not heard great reviews about the bank either. there are far better options in canada |

Thanks Vishesh, To Answer your questions: 1) PP rcvd by Registered Post. 2) ND doesn't inform you of the DD encashment. You have to cajole your bank (I did find out from ICICI thru my personal banker) into doing it. You could wait for a receipt from the ND VO but that's not the best way, as I haven't rcvd mine yet. Yes! Certainly it gives positive indication... That they have opened the file for final determination... I have received my RPRF receipt date 4th May. Now, waiting for my passports to come back.. Rgds,Raj. but getting a receipt confirms that ur dd has been encashed .....is that so....
