NEW DELHI APRIL SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP 2011

iam a parmanent resident,did my test for canadian citizen as well hopefuly ill get it soon,recently went to india got married came back and applied for my wife,i sponsored my wife on april 12th got an approval on may 14th then may 30th received in dehi then after that nathing happned my wife never got any letter from new delhi still waiting..dont know wat to shold i jus wait and watch???
please help me out brother checking ecas every single day it says file recived on may 30th thats it no updates after that.very much curious and stress.

The processing time is usually 3-6 months. And its only been a month since the file was transferred to New Delhi. Why are you already stressed out? Have patience, these things take time. Check out New Delhi timelines, you will get an idea how long people have to wait. If there is any progress or if they need any additional documents, they will surely contact you. I mean its just one month!!

Hey shamshia been really helpful ur suggestion my wife is in Hyderabad and I'm in Toronto I was much curious since my wife did not get any acknowledgement letter from new Delhi even file is transferred to newdelhi on may 14 received in Delhi 30th may that was my concern.r u from Hyderabad as well??ur answers always appreciated please and thank you.

I filled my application in april  still waiting for the letter .I guess the time limit is 3-6 months so we just can wait ..........I was wondering can we call delhi visa office and see whats going on with our file.And at last i just to want to wish everybody good luck

You are not getting alot of traffic because most join the other main ND thread. There, we have someone who keeps track of everyone. I think it's listed as a 2010 site but everyone new is there. It's great to start a new one, but people also enjoy being in a place where there are senior members who are done the process but stil answering questions.

FYI, a comparison:

His/her case:
Delhi received application for permanent residence on April 18, 2011.
Delhi started processing application on July 5.
Decision made on July 8.

My case:
Delhi received application for permanent residence on May 26. (He/she is 1 month and 1 week ahead)
Delhi started processing application on June 27. (How come I be one week ahead here !!!)
Passport yet to be requested (as of July 8, 2011). (surprising)

(But still, based upon the date delhi received application, i gotta wait one month and a week to expect a decision to be made. so my best bet for response to my case is July 8 plus 1 month and a week = August 16.)

Permanent Residence
New Delhi received application for Permanent Residence on May 26, 2011.
Permanent Residence Application Status = 'In Process' as of June 27, 2011.
It says "Started processing application on June 27, 2011. Medical results have been received".

Passport Request yet to be made (as of July 8, 2011).

GUESS WHAT EVERONE!!!!!!

We received XXXXXXXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on April 18, 2011.
 
We started processing XXXXXXXXXXX's application on July 5, 2011.
Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on XXXXXXXXXXXX's application. The office will contact XXXXXXX concerning this decision.

Thanks Ali everything is done from my end just waiting right now for the letterI filed my case at same time you did so .. I guess we both have to wait . Apparently one of my friend filed the case two weeks later than me and his wife already got the letter in the mail. And talked to my lawyer too. He was like wait for 4 weeks more ....wish you all the best and stay in touch . Let me know if you hear anything from them .

Delhi started processing application on June 27. (How come I be one week ahead here !!!)

ND had originally requested my passport on April 26th, however we never got it ND then sent a 2nd PPR on June 9th, and my hubby got it on June 14th and sent everythin on June 18th.., that's why my application had been pending since May...

Don't worry, u'll get your PPR, if u don't u should e-mail them.
