the new checklist says "copies" under Education transcripts so i guess there is no need to send originals unless ask by your specific VO later

On the left side of Document Checklist form (IMM 5612E) under (12) Education/Training/Qualifications it was stated: Transcripts: original transcripts for all successfully completed studies (diplomas, certificates, degrees), if available

PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP GUYS!!! Question: I am from the Philippines.Last October 2010, I submitted my application to the CIO in Nova Scotia. Unfortunately, last June this year my application going to Canada was refused. The VISA Officer from Canadian Embassy Manila sent me letters telling the reasons why my application was refused. My question is, when are they going to send me back all the documents I sent them in my application like certificates, transcript of record from my university, birth certificate etc.?Its been 2 months since my application was refused.should I call the Canadian embassy here in Manila and inform them that I haven't received my documents?please help me.Those personal documents are important.I need it back.Thank you.
They send documents back via regular mails and it takes from 2-4 months to reach their destination (you) so wait for another couple of weeks and if you do not receive them ask CHC, manila that when were they dispatched exactly and when will i be able to get them.

Yes in new checklist it is not mentioned that the transcripts should be in univ. sealed envelopes. but in the previous checklist of visa office it is mentioned so it means your respective visa office will demand it at later stage and they demand it in univ.sealed envelopes. so if you want that your file must not be slow down so it's always better to send all the documents in the first step in right order. otherwise as far as transcripts are concerned new checklist says its not an issue.

is this your personal opinion or a fact that I should not take for granted? I have my original transcripts but don't have the university envelope and I'm submitting my application soon.

In fact a couple of weeks back in this forum, some one asked some queries in this forum about his/her letter received from CHC and CHC demanded the applicant to send updated forms and original degrees and transcripts to be sent from your respective university. i.e. univ.sealed envelopes. So to my observations on this forum if you send everything upto date and in right order your process will be fast. Rest it's your choice what you want right now. to send only those documents that are demanded in the new list or you should also send some of those documents which were in CHC visa office list i.e. university sealed transcripts, Marriage photos etc.

it's really confusing.. website checklist indicates on the left side Transcripts: original transcripts for all successfully completed studies (diplomas, certificates, degrees), if available.right side indicates: Copies, unless otherwise stated. my take is, since it clearly says original transcript IF AVAILABLE you can send either original or certified true copies. I might be wrong, thats only my take.
