PMM pointed out this Operational Bulletin, just posted today -

Effective January 1, 2012, all Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applications must be submitted to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia...

Looks like the CEC Instructions page was updated on 22 Dec...

I do not see this as a positive thing, I think it will increase the processing time like FSW Sad

Have to wait and see what other new instructions will be coming - it implies that Buffalo is no longer the main processing center for CEC applications, but don't know yet who will be doing the processing.  Perhaps the CPP-Ottawa was so successful that most applications will go there, which would be a good thing...

BTW - CIO-Sydney reduced the amount of time it took to receive an AOR for FSW applicants, from 4-6 months to 2 months...

And with GCMS, it looks like file transfers are much smoother. 

So overall, I see it as a positive thing.  Unless it means that CIO-Sydney gets more work but doesn't get more staff Smiley
