Hey jes.. So no record of employment right?? They made it more simplified now.

ROEs are good to have anyway - and where it says "Additional supporting documents may include..." I would suggest that is not an exhaustive list - if you need an ROE to support your case, then you can still include it.

Can we photocopy paycheques too as well as pays tubs??

Uh.. photocopies, yes, but why would you want to ?  You ordinarily would not need paystubs; why would you want to send both?

I recently submitted my application on December 28, 2011 for CEC to Buffalo. But used the older version of Document Checklist and Schedule 8 forms.

Since, CIC does not indicate when the new forms take affect. Usually they provide a transition period to use the new forms.
Does this mean that my application will be returned since I used the older form ?

+ and you can pay the fee with credit card now, which I did. - another form to be filled with the numbers, etc. I am not sure if this is part of the new changes

yes I was so freaked out when I noticed the changes because I was just about to send it after Christmas. I have to review everything again and sent my application set to Sydney,NS by Express post on Friday -  Dec. 30th 2011.

...15 months to go, so excited, hope everything go smoothly----'fingers-crossed'

Changes appear to take effect January 1, 2012.  You should be OK, a one-month transition period is described where Buffalo will forward applications to CIO Sydney...

Hi Jes,

I was just going over the document checklist and noticed it says police clearance certificates are valid one year from date of issue, is that true?

I guess they have realized that the OP manual and the original document checklist contradicts with regards to the transcripts reuirements for Work Experience applicant. The manual specifically states that work experience applicant are to be on be assessed on experience and not education. I guess applicants right from the start who did not send their transcripts really understand and knew what they are doing in the first place.

Hi Jes,

The Document Checklist is your truth Smiley

There is still the requirement that PCCs be less than 3 months old at the time you submit them.  The "one year" validity means that if it takes more than 9-12 months to process your application, CIC may request that you obtain new PCCs.   This rule has been around for a while, actually...
