Friends,

I applied for FSW in 0631 in April 2011 and I got an email from CIO that I am not eligible. I did my schooling from India, one yr dilpoma in computers, then went to Aus on student visa in 2008 and did 2 yr diploma in saloon management. I sent all documents of my college and university, transcripts and certificate of dilpoma but visa officer gave me only 15 points stating that my total number of education is 13 and not 14 so I was given only 15 points

Summary of points that I claimed and he gave me is as follows,

Education 12+1 in India and 2 yr dip in Aus 20 he gave me 15
Age 10 he gave 10
Work Exp 21 he gave 21
Husband Qualification 4 he gave 4
IELTS 14 he gave 14
I claimed 69 and he gave me 64.

I am also worred as will I get my original transcripts back? Should I re apply or go for appeal?

Please suggest me

well there's nothing you can do about that you just have to ask for another set of documents, I got rejected also last year  and from the time i got the email from them i decided to request  all the documents that i need for re application this july and hope everything will be good. No you cannot go for appeal..just re-apply.....

Hi Neha0631,

If you look into the guide, you can see that you will belong to 13 yrs of full time study   +  1 yr. diploma which will give you only 15 points (since you have 13 + 2). You cannot claim more than that. The minimum requirement to get 20 points for education is 14 yrs of full time study + 2 yr diploma.
I am sorry for you but wish you good luck if you can claim more points else where. You can rewrite the IELTS exam and get a maximum score of 16. Still, you will fall short of 1 point.

Sorry but its your mistake. I Second "NKKD Hortons"
option - You can go for AEO and it can give you 15 points.

Its not easy anywhere mate ..AEO is all about gettin a Job Offer in CANADA from employer and gettin it approved by HRSDC. It doesn't matter whether you are in India or Pak

I completed 12 yrs of schooling + 1yr diploma in India and after a gap of almost 10 yrs I went to Aus on student visa where I completed 2 yrs diploma at bachelors level. so, total years of education is 15. I guess I havent made my case clear or there is some gap in interpretation.

Please take a look and suggest me
