Now that I will have my PR by the end of the year...now comes a new topic....

My nephew is currently 13 years old. He is a US citizen (State of Massachusetts). He wants to come and visit me in Canada for a summer stay (2 or 3 months) in the future before his 18th birthday. He will be traveling alone when he comes to visit.

Because he will be under 18 years old when he travels alone (he does already have a passport), will the CBSA have difficulty letting him into Canada to visit a PR for a summer stay because he is alone and under 18? Would I need to supply him with any invitation letters? Does his mother (My sister) need to supply him with any documents of her permission for him to travel alone?

Thanks!

being a US citizen I don't think he will have any problems at border. travelling by himself he doesn't need permision from his mother to travel. letter so consent is given to accompanying people.
