Hi sdfr0024,
When we were filling out our application, we also weren't sure what that code would be so I called the immigation and they said to leave it blank as they will assign that code once they start processing the application... therefore, it does not apply to you right now... eventually, that will be your file number (once they assign it) which you will have to use for any correspondace with them... just leave it blank...

Is your partner or you  holding any document from the Canadian Immigration like temporary resident permit, work permit or study permit.. If yes you can find the UCI or Client ID number at the top right hand corner of the said documents...

i only found out about this new form because you mentioned it here! thank you! we had the old form filled out. is there anywhere we can check if the forms are updated since we have filled the out? or do i just have to check each one?

we filled out the forms in December and January, but are waiting on a few letters to arrive before we can apply, so how do we know if new forms are being changed?!

To confirm, you are referring to visitor visa's as well? Where could I read more about that? If you have the link would be great.

Hey guys.. I got my Option C sheet today from CRA, however, they have my martial status SINGLE instead of MARRIED.. is it gonna create any problems in the spousal immigration process?

Hey i was having the same problem with the client id, since I dont have one, I called them and they said leave it blank but then it doesn't let me validate so I put in a 'zero' and was able to validate the form as it cannot be NA, it has to be numeric? would this create any problem? should i use the old form instead? im confuused why dont they just make evreything clear & straight fwd.. Lips sealed

The new forms generate 2D barcode pages.  These can be scanned and do not require manual re-entry of the data from the forms.  This means that the new forms will be processed differently - and presumably faster - than the old forms.

I'm in the midst of preparing my application and I've already moved to the new forms - it should be faster than the old forms for them, so hopefully that will make the application processing a bit faster as well.
