Dear All

I am sending my application to CIC in a day or two. A friend of mine told me that with this initial application I have to provide my proof of marriage and also the proof of having a relative in canada (my aunt is a citizen there).

Please advise me, do I need to include my:

educational documents
proof of citizenship of my aunt
work experience letters
marriage certificate
ielts (ive already got 8 band)

Please reply quick as I need to post my application asap.

All help and advice is much appreciated

You need proof of relationship to your aunt.  By proving her citizenship, you have only proved that this woman is a citizen, not that she is your aunt.  This could for example be a copy of her birth certificate and a copy of your parent birth certificate showing that they have the same parents.

Hi,
Don't worry at this time for all, just mention everything in application form, better if you just send a plain copy of your appointment and experience letter with the copy of passport, just imagine your English proficency and fill the same in the form they will just eveluate your eligibility under listed occupation,
Everything you should send after getting file number, I DO HAVE MY OWN EXPERINCE,
Best of luck

Thanks Prashant and all others.

To Leon:

I do understand that I need to prove my relationship. My question was do I need to provide the proof when I initially apply to CIC Sydney or at a leter stage, when providing full set of documents to my local visa office(i.e. London)

Once again all replies are appreciated guyzzz

you do not have to submit any other supporting documents when you send you app to CIO-NS for initial assessment.  just what is included in their checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.PDF)

you will need to provide proof regarding your relative in canada when you submit your full application to the local visa office after your app has been assessed by CIO-NS

hope this helps, goodluck
