We recently got our PR & we would be landing in Canada this month end.

I wish to apply for my parents PR. Can we do it right away or we need to stay in Canada for a while to start their processing?
How much time would it take for my parents to get their PR? Please confirm.

Thank You

Once you become a canadian PR holder you can apply for Family based immigration for your parents (for that you must need to stay and landing on PR in Canada & apply with required documents mentioned in below CIC link).

Readm more and follow this link of CIC: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp

Rejection / Approval I can't say (some rejection is depend only on Medical result  @  65years age). if you documents are good, once you case is cleared by CIC & your parents passed medical exams than they will be join you.
Now a days it will take 3years.

Actually time lines are now 5+ years.

The parent sponsorship process has two stages. The first stage takes 46 months (Mississauga office). The file is then transferred to the country visa office for additional processing. The country visa office processing times are provided in the link below. Add the 46 month Mississauga processing time to the country visa office processing time to calculate the total amount of processing time.

It looks like your parents might be in India.

If so, then processing times for their application would be:

46 months Mississauga office
+
approximately 32 months New Delhi office

So approximately 78 months total.

And you can not apply to sponsor your parents until you can show that your income is sufficient to support your own family plus parents.  You can see that amount here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/applications/guides/5196E10.asp and scroll down to table 3.  That is the minimum income you must have per year.  If your spouse is also working, they can co-sign your application for you to add their income to yours.

Rigth Leon, but its possible when he got job with good salary + his own bank balance will help to apply for his parents sponsorship under family sponsor class.

Only salary is used to determine if someones make sufficient money to sponsor and support their parents. Unfortunately bank balances are not counted / included by CIC.

Right but CIC asked for the bank statement also (if your salary is very less then CIC count statement money that initially your parents can stay with you and start search job), I have many people from my family and society.
your salary income is must to prove your earning but bank statement also play role in this sponsorship.

Good News for those who wants to sponsor their parents...................CIC has started a new visa which is a multiple entry visa for 10 years for the parents and grand parents and business visa applicants...................The visa will be granted for 10 years and .....................by this visa i think CIC wants that the parents and grand parents of immigrants should not become burden on canadian government................because CIC know that if they enter on 10 years visa they will definitely get medically insured from their home country and canadian government will not have to bear the medical expenses...............the best part of this visa is that you can apply for this visa while your parents and grand parents pr application is in process.............

Similar as USA 10years turist visa , for this visa holders must have to leave country after 6months , than re-enter back to canada.
we already discussed here couple of months ago.
