Hi,

As i have already informed in this forum one of my friend has applied for his new employer work permit in CPC Vegreville in January.
After 20 days he got a letter saying his application processing will take more time than anticipated and they have specifically mentioned'
in the letter that they will review the application within 60 days, with due respect to their letter my friend or his employer decided not to write any letter to them to expedite the case. But now already 60 days passed they did not even open the file. Please suggest whether we should write a letter to them now or not? Will it give any negative impact. If anyone is suggesting to wait how much time we should wait?

Are you in Canada?I presume yes,Go to your local MP s office and have them do a Pasrliamentary inquiry and CIC HAS TO report the status of your case in a few days

Ok since you dont want to do it by Private Message lets do it on open forum,Members of Parliament have special numbers which their staff call where They can make inquiries WHICH CIC MUST answer in 2 days in Canada,What part of Alberta are you in so that I can determine your MP and what is your contact details,Most people for privacy reasons dont like to post it and use PM,But if thats fine with you Its ok with me.That allows me to discuss your case with you

Sorry BCGuy. I could not understand 'PM' as personal message and got confused. I will definitely send you a personal message for any suggestions. Just a quick question from your experience have you heard any situation like this when CPC officer will write a letter to client saying that they will take certain days to review and they don't do that within the mentioned time?
