hi em currently in USA on H1B and want to get info. on Canada immigration.I want to file for skilled worker only for me, once i get approved i will go back to us and finish my current contract job which will be done in 1-2 yrs after which i will be moving to Canada for good is that advisable to do so.
But i would like to apply for my wife and son later for visas so they can stay with me here in USA and come with me to Canada with me later .
how long will it take for them to get visas and do i have to go back before they can get visas???

Hi super8,

I would suggest you should include your family when you apply under FSW. If your plan is to stay in USA after becoming a Canadian PR you cannot sponsor your family,  if you and family are residing outside Canada. When you get your PR Visa, after  landing in Canada  you may return to USA and complete your contract and then come back to Canada again. But keep in mind that you have to stay 730 days in Canada during the five year period to maintain your PR.
