Need some Clarification with some of the forms

under forms:

Schedule 1, Background / Declaration
(IMM 0008 Schedule 1)
You and each of your family members 18 years of age or over, whether accompanying you to Canada or not, must complete their own copy of this form.

I'm 19....and so is he, does that mean that we need our parents to fill out the IMM 5406 and IMM 0008 along with any other family [step parents]

Page 5 lists the people that need to be included. Basically, you, your spouse and any children.

oh, okay, because we don't have kids :/

it stated that even family members that ain't coming. So I was a little confused about that.
