you miss understand it, i am not saying to update my spouse details to the existing application. i am talking about to apply new application on behalf of my wife as primary applicant. because they still do not get any detail of my family. so i think i should apply new application they will take about a year to process it. if i will wait for my existing application it will take 2 or more than 2 years.

I think you are being advised to go ahead with your plan to apply with your spouse as PA, but ALSO to update your 2007 application with the changes to your family status.  Who knows, that nudge they get when you send in information on the old app might just make the difference and get it moving.  You have nothing to lose but the time and cost of the paperwork additions to the first app and it is your responsibility to keep it current.  Good Luck!

1 .Why you want to withdraw your old application ? Do it only if you think that you qualify for FSW category under the new rule.
2. You must in any case update CIC with latest information or else your file can be disqualified later.

Best of luck

Actually i wrote email to canada embassy 2, 3 times that how can i send the details of my spouse and kid to update my profile. As you know when i have applied they just receive application not the whole documents so still i did not send them my own documents becuase they did not ask to me yet to send the documents. so i am confused as well about to send documents of my spouse and kid. And they are taking a lot time to clear the backlog that's why i decided why not i apply new application as PA through my spouse on parallel with the old one. Actually I am not eligible in current accupation list but my spouse is eligible so i am not going to withdraw my old application and submit new application.

Brother...if you have to submit new application, u need to withdraw the old one.

If CHC has not replied to your application...means your case is still in process. Better update the status by filling in the additional family info and send it.

I tried to suggest you something in my previous reply which is viable in current situation instead of taking a new start out of panic. Sorry for misunderstanding caused due to my words.

what your comments on this?
withdraw your previous one since you havn't sent any docs yet and let your spouse apply(a new application) as prinicpal applicant.
You will be refunded for withdrawal since processing of your application hasn't been started yet.

thanks

You can have more than one application at same time but both should have the correct and updated info.

ok, i have question here for those who are not agreed to execute 2 parallel applications.

At the time of assessment will the officer only assess with the aspect of principle applicant, if PA is not going to get enough points so will he assess the application with the aspect of spouse. if not, why not we apply second application on parallel as PA by second one.

I have one more question regarding the verification of documents that i have graduate from private college now college become chartered university and  i got the bonefied letter as well from this university so will this be acceptable.

Running parallel applications is no harm, the Local visa office will clarify this once you have file/case status changing to In Process which is processing will began. They will ask you if you wish to withdraw any one of the case which will take more time to process. You should not withdraw the old file but let your wife apply as PA and let both the files be active.

By chance if your file's case is not approved you still have your file with them. Under the old file system, were you given a file number for your case ?

Yes, that's correct. I am just doubted about my private graduation acceptance in my old file although one of my friend already got PR with the same degree and qualification. but why i waste my time to get the decision on my old file and then i avail that chance. now a days they are quickly process new applications than backlog so i am sure they will process the new application earliar and then i will withdraw my old application.
